FAQ

Frequently asked questions from hotels, schools & event planners

Clear answers about the process, safety and costs – for hotels, schools and events in the Imst district, the Pitztal, Ötztal and all of Tirol.

How long does an experience last?

All experiences have a minimum duration of 45 minutes. Shorter sessions are possible, but the full package price applies, as preparation, travel and process remain the same.

Can the experiences take place indoors and outdoors?

Yes. Indoor is ideal for winter, schools and quiet rooms. Outdoor is perfect for summer programmes, gardens and hotel terraces.

How many people can take part?

Hotels: small groups up to larger gatherings. Schools: whole classes or in 2–3 smaller groups. Private events: flexible depending on space.

Is there direct contact with the parrots?

Yes – but only when WILD or Skippy voluntarily offer contact. No force, no holding, no risky situations.

Is the experience safe for children?

Yes. Clear rules, controlled distance and calm presentations. The entire safety concept is tailored to groups of children.

What happens in bad weather?

Outdoor dates are moved indoors where possible. If there is no suitable indoor space, we arrange a replacement date.

Can guests or children feed the parrots?

No. Feeding is not permitted for safety and health reasons.

How much space is needed?

A calm area with 3–5 metres between the audience and the animals is entirely sufficient. No stage required.

What preparations are needed?

Very little: a quiet room, seating and a short briefing for guests/children beforehand. We take care of everything else.

How do the parrots travel?

In safe, ventilated transport boxes. We only open them at the venue in a calm environment. Outside the box, WILD & Skippy are always secured on a special safety harness – no free-roaming bird without securing.

What insurance is there?

There is public liability insurance covering usual personal injury and property damage.

Can photos be taken?

Yes, expressly permitted – without flash. Many hotels use this for social media.

Are the animals overstrained?

No. We always adapt duration, pace and distance to the animals’ wellbeing. If they tire, we pause or stop.

How short-notice can you book?

Bookings under 7 days are possible, with a 25% short-notice surcharge. For packages, this applies only to the first session.

Are presentations available in English?

Yes. All programmes can be held in German or English.

What if guests are afraid of birds?

The experience is calm, controlled and with no obligatory contact. Anyone can take part from a distance.

Still have a question?

No-obligation enquiry – we reply within 24 hours. Insured, safe and with rescued animals rather than show animals.
